COCKROACH PEST CONTROL
Cockroaches reproduce incredibly fast and can get out of hand quickly. A female cockroach lays up to 50 eggs at a time and can lay over 1,000 in a lifetime. An egg can go to full maturity and start reproducing within just 90 days, so time is of the essence when dealing with cockroaches.
Cockroaches will typically be in areas that provide warmth, water and food to thrive and reproduce. Usually this is in the kitchen where they find all of these things under the refrigerator or behind the oven. Since cockroaches have been known to carry 33 different types of bacteria, the kitchen can become an unsanitary place. In addition to the bacteria, cockroach feces can also be an allergen and can induce asthma related symptoms.
Cockroaches can infest a home many different ways, but the most common is from eggs being brought into the home from groceries. It may not be possible to avoid a cockroach getting into your home, but there are certainly ways that you can better handle it if they do get in your home. Although cockroaches can infest the cleanest of kitchens, keeping all food sources cleaned up (scraps of food, grease from the stove, etc) becomes a critical. A thoroughly clean kitchen can slow down the infestation and then a pest control treatment will be far more effective.
