Three common pests during the summer in the Portland and Gresham area are wasps, bees, and hobo spiders. Wildwoods Pest Control has a great track record for the control or extermination of all three.
Wasps will sting if they are agitated or disturbed—unlike bees a wasp can sting multiple times. Wasps will also attack in packs, which can be dangerous and deadly. If someone in your home is allergic to wasp stings, they can suffer from a severe reaction that requires immediate medical attention. Don’t risk a wasp attack. Wildwoods will determine the location of the wasp nest and administer the best method for wasp control.

In addition to pain and swelling, bee stings result in other symptoms like nausea and vomiting, fainting and closing of the throat in people who are allergic. In the case of a backyard beehive, multiple stings have the potential to kill someone who is extremely allergic to bees.

ARE HOBO SPIDERS DANGEROUS?
As recently as 2014 hobo spiders were listed by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention as one of the three most venomous spiders that can be found in the United States, next to black widows and the brown recluse. In 2017 the same organization has determined that hobo spider venom is no longer toxic to healthy humans. Wildwoods can help you identify whether your spiders are friendly or venomous.
